Our stereotype within the metro area is that we’re country club snobs and are consequently good at tennis, golf and swimming. Which is pretty silly (although our athletes do mainly excel in those three categories). However, for those who are not athletically inclined, we have ace journalism and debate programs—which is nice for the sector of nerdy-chic homies that I’m acquainted with. My personal high school experience has been shaped by involvement in The Harbinger, so I guess my idea of the school is quite different from that of the average attendee (I like to think it’s much better).
